There are 2 Community Gardens in Greenville for the 2012 Growing Season!

 

Greenville Trailside Garden

grcgThe Trailside Garden is located at 415 E Water St. (north of 57 and east of 91) This is a plot garden with 14 plots that can be reserved by the half plot. Each plot is approximately 10 ft by 20 ft and can be reserved by contacting the Mid-Michigan District Health Dept or stopping by Healthy Lifestyles to pick up a membership packet.

The Clifford Lake Inn gives back 20% to the Greenville Trailside Community Garden!

Tuesday, May 15th after 4:00PM.

You must present this ticket!

Does not apply to gift card purchases.

RESERVATIONS ARE ENCOURAGED

Funds will be used to purchase supplies to build a Tool Shed to safely store supplies needed by local gardeners! Please help us support this great cause! If you can not print out the ticket, please email us at ICCFoodNetwork@gmail.com and a ticket will be printed for you!

Greenville Community Church

Bucket Garden

The Greenville Community Church as planted a large acre garden as part of the Community Food Network for the past 2 years. However this year there was construction preventing the garden so they are attempting a bucket garden with 20 five gallon buckets each containing 1 plant.

Watch for detailed "How To" instructions to be posted about this type of gardening that might be more suited if you have limited space or are handicapped.

Greenville Community Church Food Pantry

This food pantry is always willing to partner with the Community Food Network as it serves around 70-90 families each week. The GCC Pantry accepts fresh produce from other gardens and local farmers. This church is also involved in a Commodities Distribution for Seniors and hands out Holiday Baskets at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter!

The Food Pantry is working with Neighborhood Watch and many other groups to host the Montcalm Township Picnic on August 6th at Montcalm Township Park from noon to 3pm. Come join in the fun and learn about protecting your community by protecting your family!
