Eyes Like a Graveyard
Eyes that were hard,
Like stones in the graveyard
Bitter anger toward all,
No spark of kindness,
No sympathy or love
Just the "me" game
Masterfully played,
Never his fault
Always someone else's
More problems to bury.
Backstabber with a smile
Never reached the eyes
Cold hearted snake,
Venomous deadly.
Anger so volatile
Impossible to gauge
Anything or nothing
Could trigger it.
Walking on marbles
Always around him,
Never knowing how to
Defuse the explosion
His life a graveyard
Of broken promises
Never following up
Words with behavior.
The pleasure principle
For him any how,
Hell in a bottle
For all victims
Of his rampages.
Always ran away
From all his problems
Never paid the piper,
A charmed life
At least so it seems
Would not want
To be in his shoes,
When finally karma
Knocks on his door.
Such an elaborate facade,
Detailed false persona
Created only to fool
Such amazing detail
And seeming sincerity
Charisma simply oozes
Out all your pores
You are quite the actor
Go take your bow
It's curtain time
And you are through
Let's bury you
In the graveyard
Of the distant past.
