Sticky Situations
To confuse an already sticky situation
The brain at a nonplus for a remark
That would not be taken wrong
By a drunkard looking
For more than I wanted
Slick words he though he had
Looking to fulfill a fantasy
That had a fanatical ring to it.
Genuine seems a impossible dream
In those Smokey rooms
Something I have come to terms with
Over the years of dancing
Yet still thinking maybe someone
Who like me is not looking
For advances in the night
Or cares what is in fashion
Might be still out there
Burning incense later
In an attempt to
Remove the smoke smell
From their lungs.
