Torpor the enemy
Dull eyes, dull minds
As one day drones
Into another
And nothing changes
Now we have new schedules
Fun things to do
You can see the glint
In the eyes of the aged
As they have things
To look forward to again
As I lecture on the evils
Of inactivity
For the use it or lose it folks
And use up tablet after tablet
Plotting ideas and plans
Word games to keep active minds
The turn of a phrase vital
As is the belief in themselves
Instead of looking
Into a mirror darkly
Wishing for the end
