One Touch

One touch
Could take my breath away
A touch of death
Like the mist from the ocean
Which hides the riptide
That dwells beneath
Wanting to osculate
Our bodies and souls
And make us plunge
Beneath the brilliance
Of the sun
Into a world
Of mystery
And darkness
Which shrouds the depths
That grasp
At life
Like the flight
Of the Titanic
Which started with
The pop and fizz
Of champagne
And ended in
The dungeons
Deep in the bowels
Of the deceptive sea.
