The Depths of Your Eyes

I see a depth to you
Few people have be privileged to see
The sweet warmth of your soul
Reaches into the crevasses of mine
Filling me with your love
Smoothing out the edges
Worn jagged from yesterday's pain.
I see love reflected in your eyes
The blue that twinkles with mischief
The lust that radiates from you like a magnet
The love that mirrors my own
So long denied, so many years wasted
But finally brought to sweet fruition.
I see the better half of me
The man who will walk beside me
And never crush my spirit
One who loves without holding back
I see a gem among men without equal
One who knows how to love
Without losing his way
One who knows that to be strong
Means that sometimes you are weak.
And yet to be weak is to be strong
With the need we have for each other
Keep on needing me, my love
As you are the candle that lights my darkness.
